A new Dassault Falcon tops the news in this month’s edition. The French airframer revealed details on the 5,500-nm, Pratt & Whitney Canada-powered Falcon 6X on February 28, including a 20-inch-longer cabin, nitrogen-pressurized fuel tanks (a first for a business jet), and the fact that the 6X is being enthusiastically received by loyal customers.

Industrywide optimism is reflected in the most recent statistics from the General Aviation Manufacturers Association. And for the first time since the 2008 economic downturn, the market for used jets has turned in favor of sellers, based on the percentage of the active fleet that is for sale dipping below 10 percent.

And regulators are becoming more convinced that stricter controls need to be implemented on drones, after some significant close calls have raised red flags. Also, concerns over cybersecurity have risen up in light of fears that increasingly data-driven procedures could be vulnerable.
