Notes: Islanders Sports Club (ISC) was founded in 1996 by Renee Frank, Stella Boyea-Ashby, and Karen Marks. This year we will be celebrating our 10-year anniversary. They started with three teams – junior, intermediate, and senior – and grew, in 2001, to seven teams. The club presently has four teams, which include a group of ladies who are Seventh Day Adventists and an authentic junior team with players ranging in age from eight to seventeen.  ISC has had many sponsors over the years which includes Pitons Sports Team Club, 74 Utica Sports Club, Black Shuga Graphics, Brooklyn Faith Adventist Church, and T & S Auto – just to name a few. Aside from carrying away over 100 team and individual trophies over the years, ISC is also credited with four Best Dressed Awards, Coach of the Year, and was also named Most Disciplined Club by CANA in 1998. Their goal is to promote netball in our neighborhoods and throughout the United States. They also support our communities by lobbying for local officials and hosting family events like their annual ISC Family Picnic and Tea Party. When they are not playing netball, ISC takes trips to amusement parks, plays cricket and volleyball, and also host Bingo nights. They look forward to continuing to promote netball and Caribbean culture in the coming years.
